Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (American)2011925(full review) - I love David Fincher movies, I loved this book series and Id recommend this film (and the books) to anyone who doesnt shy away from intense themes. Its not a comfortable movie, but its extremely well crafted and executed. Anyone who clamors on about how the American version of this film was unnecessary due to the Swedish Noomi Rapace version fails to acknowledge that mainstream audiences wont appreciate the complex plot if they have to follow along with the subtitles. I watched the Swedish version after having read the books and I still had trouble figuring out the different characters. Also, no offense to Ms Rapace, but shes nowhere near as nice to look at as Rooney Mara. My suggestion: watch the David Fincher American version of the film after reading the book, and then if you get some time, check out the Swedish version (currently available on Netflix Instant).

Mr. Holmes20158039 - A bit slow, but very nicely crafted. Tells the tale about Holmes struggling with issues in the one area which has always served as his greatest asset.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit20147071 - Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special. Decent enough that I'd watch a sequel, but I wouldn't run to see it in the theater.
Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Swedish - Mn som hatar kvinnor)20096874
Gosford Park20016874
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy20115076 - One of the most confusing movies I've seen. Had it been constructed and prsented better, the story lends itself to being something special. Some audiences will appreciate the film in its first viewing, but most will not. That's a failure of the director and producers. It could have been excellent with its top-notch cast.
