Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Lists: Mystery, Thriller, Film Quest 2015 - The Challenge Part II, Focus Features, Independent Film Award Nominees - BIFA

Brief Synopsis: "George Smiley, a recently retired MI6 agent, is doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the service, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects - all experienced, skilled and successful agents - but past histories, rivalries and friendships make it far from easy to pinpoint the man who is eating away at the heart of the British establishment."

Rob from GuysFilmQuest50 - One of the most confusing movies I've seen. Had it been constructed and prsented better, the story lends itself to being something special. Some audiences will appreciate the film in its first viewing, but most will not. That's a failure of the director and producers. It could have been excellent with its top-notch cast.

Kevin McCarthy40 - I gave “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” two chances and still came up with the same thought process. The film is well-acted, well-shot and well-scored but is one of the most boring, confusing flicks I’ve seen in a long time
