Not Quite Amazing, Spider-Man 2 Vanquishes Opponents

Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit theater box offices this weekend, and although it approached $100 M in earnings, no other serious contenders debuted this week to oppose it. That doesn’t mean that all the movie critics enjoyed it, though. In addition to the high-earning sequel, there are a few smaller films which either hit theaters or expanded their release.  Each week we like to try to let you know how films fared at the movie theater box office. Here’s a list of new movie theater options:

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, THE

Brief Synopsis: “For Peter Parker, life is busy. Between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen Stacy, high school graduation cannot come quickly enough. Peter has not forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that is a promise he cannot keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”
