Bryan Lienesch93 - For the truly talented actors and actresses, there comes a role and a performance that forever puts them on the map. For Mr. Redmayne, this is that film.

Rob from GuysFilmQuest87 - Some of the scenes felt unfinished whose implications were quite important. Great performances, great story, very good film otherwise. The ending suffered a bit.

Sober Film Critic James Brown84 - In the iconic role of Stephen Hawking, Eddie Redmayne gives what may one day be considered a career-defining performance. Redmayne looks like Hawking. He moves like him. He has that defiant glow about him just like Hawking.

Le Anne of Tinsel And Tine56.6 - The movie is mainly based on the memoirs of his incredibly stalwart wife, Jane (Felicity Jones) whose performance is on par with Redmayne's. I am awestruck by a woman who would commit to marrying a man already showing signs of major debilitation, and raise 3 children, basically without help for years, while caring for her husband night and day. Yet, somehow, it's not quite enough to keep such a long movie going.
