Nine Innings from Ground Zero

Lists: Documentary

Brief Synopsis: "Short, well-made documentary showing how the NY Yankees vs. AZ Diamondbacks world series games, just a month after 9-11, provided welcome relief from the uncertainty New Yorkers, and the nation, felt about how to proceed with their lives. The Yankees, during the series, came to symbolize and re-strengthen everything that was, and is, New York... and America."

Reviewer Rating Review
Bryan Lienesch77 - A quaint documentary, I suppose. I don't know, it felt more like a TV special, to be honest. Either way, you have to think about the story you're choosing to tell. Didn't the people of New York DESERVE to win the World Series that year. If the answer is yes, then why are we bothering with this rather disappointing narrative?
