It should come as no surprise that Godzilla stomped all over its box office competition this weekend. The only other significant release was Jon Hamm’s “Million Dollar Arm”, which reached 4th place with $10.5 M. Godzilla not surprisingly landed in the top spot, earning $93 M in its opening weekend. The total was more than twice the earnings of second place Neighbors ($26 M) and third place Amazing Spider-Man 2 ($16.8 M) combined.
